Cyber Deck Plus 1.0
Keyboard-first portable control with a full gamepad for interactive tools, games, and custom firmware.
The Cyber Deck Plus 1.0 expands Cyber Deck with a full gamepad. It combines a color touchscreen, a 48-key QWERTY keyboard, directional and action controls, local storage support, a microphone, a speaker, and battery power in one portable Complete Build.
Overview
Cyber Deck Plus is for projects that need more than one input style. Use the keyboard for text, commands, labels, and configuration; use the gamepad for navigation, movement, selection, and immediate actions; and use the touchscreen for direct interaction. Firmware decides how all three input surfaces work together.

Anatomy & Controls
Cyber Deck Plus is built in three front sections: the Core and screen above, the gamepad in the middle, and the keyboard below. The Media I/O module sits behind the Core, while the Power module sits behind the keyboard.

Screen and Core controls:
- A 2.0-inch color touchscreen.
- Five keys down the right side: Up · Right · Enter · Left · Down.
- Four buttons across the top edge: L1 · boot · power · R1.
- A small status light — its color and blink pattern depend on the firmware.
The Gamepad
- A direction pad (D-pad) on the left.
- Four action buttons — A, B, X, and Y — on the right.
- Four shoulder controls — L1, L2, R1, and R2 — each available on both the top edge and front so it remains accessible when the build is stacked.
- Four function buttons for actions assigned by the firmware.
The Keyboard
- One integrated 48-key QWERTY keyboard for text, commands, shortcuts, and navigation.
- The keyboard is not backlit; its indicator lights are status indicators rather than key lighting.
- The firmware defines what every keyboard and gamepad input does.
Media I/O:
- A microSD card slot for firmware that needs local files, media, or game data.
- A built-in microphone and mono speaker for audio-capable projects.
Ports and power buttons:
- USB-C on the Core — charges the battery, installs firmware, and connects to a computer.
- A power button on the Core and a power button on the Power module — use them in the order described below.
The power button is a hardware switch
A long press (about two seconds) turns the device on or off. It is a hardware switch, so it continues to work even if the firmware is busy.
First Boot & Charging
Charge It
Charge through the Core's USB-C port. A standard USB power source works, and the device can remain on while it charges. Give a new device a full charge before its first long session.
Two USB-C ports — use the Core's
The Power module has a second USB-C port. That port works only while the Core is off, so use the Core's USB-C port for everyday charging and firmware installation.

Power It On
Cyber Deck Plus has two power buttons — one on the Power module and one on the Core. The Power module supplies the device, so turn it on first.
Turn the Power module on. Long-press the button on the Power module's edge for about two seconds.
Turn the Core on. Long-press the power button on the Core's top edge (the third of its four top buttons) for about two seconds, until the screen lights up.
To turn off, long-press the Core's power button, then turn off the Power module if you are putting the build away.
Using Your Cyber Deck Plus
Cyber Deck Plus does not impose one fixed application. Compatible firmware can combine its touchscreen, QWERTY keyboard, gamepad, Core keys, microSD interface, microphone, speaker, motion sensing, and ambient sensing in different ways.
For example, a project can become a handheld interface, portable game, command console, field dashboard, media controller, or custom input device. The actual screen layout, key map, button map, file formats, network behavior, and audio features all come from the installed firmware.
Build Your Own Firmware
The AI Build Assistant helps turn an idea into firmware without starting from an empty project. It can help define the device experience, plan around a compatible Attaky module combination, design screens and navigation, prepare a build, and guide testing on the device.
It can also help assess and plan a port of existing open-source firmware. A port is possible only when Cyber Deck Plus provides the hardware features the software requires and the upstream license permits the intended adaptation. The finished firmware still needs to be built and tested on the actual device, including both Control modules.
Updating Firmware
Firmware is installed separately from the hardware. If a compatible firmware is available in
the Attaky Firmware Store (fwstore.attaky.com), use its browser installer. For firmware
you build yourself, follow that project's build and flash instructions.
Use a USB-C cable that carries data and connect it to the Core's USB-C port. Browser-based installers require Chrome or Edge on a desktop computer. Keep the device connected until the installation finishes and the Core restarts.
Only install firmware made for your hardware
Install only firmware built for the Cyber Deck Plus module combination. Firmware meant for different modules can drive the hardware incorrectly and may permanently damage a module or the Core. If you are not sure a build matches, do not install it.

Safety & Compliance
- Battery — charge from a normal USB source. Do not puncture, crush, open, or expose the Power module to extreme heat. Stop using it if the battery looks swollen or damaged.
- Heat & sunlight — use the device between 0 °C and 40 °C (32–104 °F). Keep it out of prolonged heat, direct sunlight, and direct UV; do not leave it in a parked car.
- Water & moisture — Cyber Deck Plus is not waterproof and has no IP rating. Keep it away from rain, splashes, and damp places.
- microSD card — switch off the device before removing a card when the firmware is writing files, or use the firmware's eject function if it provides one.
Troubleshooting
- It will not turn on — charge it first, then turn on the Power module before holding the Core's power button for about two seconds.
- It will not charge — use the Core's USB-C port with a working cable and a standard USB source. The Power module's USB-C port only works while the Core is off.
- A computer cannot find it — use a USB-C cable that carries data, try another USB port, and close other applications connected to the device.
- The keyboard or gamepad does not respond — confirm the firmware supports both Control modules and check its input map.
- The microSD card is not detected — confirm a card is inserted, then check the capacity, format, and folder layout required by your firmware.
- There is no sound or microphone input — check the firmware's audio settings and confirm it supports Expand: Media I/O.
- A feature does not work — make sure the firmware was built for the complete Cyber Deck Plus module combination, including both Control modules.
